If you want a different kind of tattoo studio, out of the hustle and bustle of our crowded Eugene shop, Turtle Island Tattoo may be just the place for you. At Turtle Island, Bonnie Jean can give her clients more individual attention, free of distractions.  Clients are welcome to bring a support person, but otherwise it’s just Bonnie Jean and you, and occasionally a student from the Eugene school – no other people wandering in and out of the shop, and no one distracting your tattoo artist.

Turtle Island is a state-licensed studio, and is appointment only for consultations and tattoos.  Bonnie Jean offers free consultations, and the typical wait time for an appointment is anywhere from two weeks to two months; however, the lucky ones sometimes get an appointment in a couple of days.  Sometimes customers are tattooed the same day as their consultation, and sometimes the tattoos are scheduled for a later date.

A lot of customers make an adventure out of their tattoo experience, and get a cabin or a hotel room to spend the weekend in Yachats.  It’s a charming, peaceful tourist town, called the Gem of the Oregon Coast.  Truly beautiful, you can get a glimpse via the Yachat’s Chamber of Commerce website, where you will find lots of links to activities, hotels, bed and breakfasts, campgrounds restaurants, shopping, wine tasting and more

Yachats is a small arts community, where people come to both vacation and retire in a setting free of the more hectic parts of most coastal tourists towns:  there are no arcades, no crowded beaches, no port, no endless storefronts of cheap souvenirs.  Yachats is the kind of place where people walk on the beach, enjoy a good book, visit with family, and appreciate life – quiet, and a perfect place for a quiet, private tattoo experience.  And, coming soon, Yachats will offer a skateboard park for kids of all ages.
